The Government has announced that Te Pūkenga will be disestablished and new Industry Skills Boards (ISBs) will be created. As part of this reform, all ServiceIQ business operations will transfer to the Services ISB on 1 January 2026. Responsibility for work-based training will move from Te Pūkenga to the ISBs.
What’s changing?
From 1 January 2026, ServiceIQ’s operations will sit under the Services ISB.
What stays the same?
- Business as usual: in most respects nothing changes day-to-day, as your programmes, contacts, and support continue as normal until the transfer date.
- All current programmes provided by ServiceIQ will transfer to the ISB.
- All enrolments (current, former, or pending) will automatically transfer to the ISB.
- No new agreements required: employers and trainees do not need to sign new training agreements, as existing agreements will transfer automatically.
Enrolling for 2025/2026
Please continue to enrol with ServiceIQ as you currently do.
Any 2025 applications/enrolments made with ServiceIQ will be automatically transferred to the ISB in 2026.
